Dear Pastors, Intercessors, HOP Leaders, & Those Seeking Revival in Our Nation:
Would you:
1. Take the time to read this important announcement regarding Central Valley & Northern CA?
2. Consider joining us on a very urgent conference call scheduled for 10/14, 6:30-7:30am PDT? 712-432-9998 & 526338#
3. Quickly getting this invitation to fellow intercessors, including Houses of Prayer across the nation?
On Tuesday morning, 10/14, 6:30-7:30am, you are invited to a special conference call & prayer meeting for the purpose of hearing & praying into what will take place in both Central Valley (beginning 10/14) & Northern California (beginning 10/16) to reach the youth for Christ and usher revival in CA & beyond. Both of these events have been scheduled without knowledge of one another until now. However, both involve key ministries, several public schools & local churches, and both will climax in youth rallies on Saturday, 10/18, that has the potential to reap a great harvest for radical discipleship.
One of the presenters will include an intercessor who is on staff with an organization that has reached out to more than 500,000 youth across our nation.
Could it be that in the year same sex marriage (& the education of same sex marriage in the public schools) has been approved in CA, we may experience an AUTHENTIC BIBLICAL REVIVAL IN GOD'S GOLDEN STATE!? Are you ready to HIS STORY with GOD!?

Call or fax Governor Schwarzenegger now!

Action: Please contact Gov. Schwarzenegger today and ask him to veto the bills noted below. Three of these bills are on a phone menu at his Sacramento office that you may use anytime day or night (see quick dialing details below). You may also call any of his California offices (numbers below) and speak with a staff member to share your veto request, or fax your letter to the numbers shown. The deadline for the governor to sign or veto bills (or let them become law without his signature) is Tuesday, September 30.

Phone:
Sacramento office - Phone: (916) 445-2841 (see menu items below); Fax: (916) 558-3160

You may voice your opposition to all bills in one call by speaking to a staff member, otherwise, separate calls are needed for each bill on the phone menu. For the Sacramento office dial "1" for English and then "0" to speak to a staff member.

Fresno office: Phone: (559) 445-5295; Fax: (559) 445-5328
Los Angeles office - Phone: (213) 897-0322; Fax: (213) 897-0319
Riverside office - Phone: (951) 680-6860; Fax: (951) 680-6863
San Diego office - Phone: (619) 525-4641; Fax: (619) 525-4640
San Francisco office - Phone: (415) 703-2218; Fax: (415) 703-2803

Quick Dialing Details (these items are subject to change, so listen carefully)
Sacramento phone menu for pending bills (see bill explanations below):

Dial (916) 445-2841, press "1" for English, press "2" to voice your opinion on legislation, then:

"1" for AB 2567 (press "2" to oppose)
"2" for AB 2747 (press "2" to oppose)
"3" for SB 60 (press "2" to oppose)

E-mail the governor through the e-mail tab at http://gov. ca.gov/interact#contact

AB 2567 Harvey Milk Day - Designates May 22 as "Harvey Milk Day" in California public schools, encouraging "suitable commemorative exercises" recognizing the late Harvey Milk and his accomplishments. Bill text identifies Milk as "the first openly gay man to be elected to public office in a major city." AB 2567 is another attempt to normalize the homosexual lifestyle through schools.

AB 2747 End of Life Options - Sponsored by the organization formerly known as the Hemlock Society, AB 2747 is an interim step toward assisted suicide. It requires health care providers who diagnose a terminal illness to provide the patient, at a very emotional time, with end-of-life options including withdrawal of nutrition and hydration.

Other key bills needing the governor's veto not on the phone menu:

AB 2654 Sexual Orientation in Business - Requires local agencies to deal only with contractors and subcontractors who include "sexual orientation" in their equal employment criteria. Various business and insurance company codes are also affected.

SB 37 Electoral College - Ratifies the interstate compact to change the electoral college system so that all presidential electors in the states would be determined by the national popular vote. This strikes at the heart of our federalist structure.

SB 1301 Financial Aid for Illegal Aliens - Requires California's state-funded colleges and universities to offer tuition assistance (grants, scholarships and student loans) to some students who are in this country illegally, increasing our state budget in a time of severe deficits.

SB 1729 Sensitivity Training - Requires physicians, nurses and other personnel in senior care facilities to participate in sensitivity training focusing on sexual orientation and gender identity issues. SB 1729 increases costs to these facilities and may violate the rights of conscience and religious beliefs of many caregivers and facility owners.

Check the status of these bills and find talking points or sample letters on our "Targeted Bills" list here.

Thank you for making a difference!

ALERT ALERT ALERT

California Bad Bill Priority Action
September 17, 2008 Sacramento update

Now that Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger has pledged to veto the "fake reform" state budget, please call California's Republican state legislators who have the power to BLOCK the budget and in the process DEFEAT hundreds of anti-family bills.

Defeat all anti-family bills? Yes, that's the prize. Schwarzenegger has pledged to veto all the bills that reach his desk if a final budget isn't passed by Sept. 30. All Republicans have to do is block the budget!

On Friday, when Schwarzenegger vetoes the "fake reform" budget, Republican lawmakers will need to only hold out 11 more days. It's up to you to motivate them to hold the line. Read CCF's letter PDF

Please call the Republican legislators, despite many having a self-serving "get out of town" mentality. As Senate Republican leader Dave Cogdill quipped Tuesday morning after the "fake reform" budget passed, "Hopefully, he's (Schwarzenegger's) in a flip-flopping mood and he'll sign this thing and we can move on." Move on? What about being a pro-family champion who will stand firm and kill off all the anti-family bills? The power is in the Republicans' hands...and in yours...when you call, call, call them.

In this extraordinary time, every concerned Californian must rise up and demand that the Republicans (who control the budget because of the two-thirds vote requirement) OPPOSE ANY AND ALL BUDGETS until the Sept. 30 bill-signing deadline has come and gone. Republicans must receive so many phone calls that they are convinced to stand on principle and delay passing any budget until October 1. When Republican legislators receive thousands of calls and do their pro-family duty to delay the budget, hundreds of bad bills will be vetoed, including these:

AB 2567 "Gay Day" May 22nd in public schools with "suitable commemorative exercises" for kindergarten on up- See red phone # below
AB 2747 Nurse-assisted suicide via total sedation, causing death by dehydration within 5 to 10 days
AB 3015 Forces foster parents to teach foster children about homosexual-bisexual-transsexual "rights"
SB 908 Requires children in public schools to be taught "global warming" as fact when it's a theory
SB 1322 Allows open communists who advocate government overthrow to be public school teachers
SB 1729 Requires nurses to be "trained" to support homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality

ACT NOW: Please pick up the phone and call as many California Republican state legislators as you can. Urge them to "Vote NO on the budget. Don't pass any budget until October 1st. Defeat all the anti-family bills. I expect you to delay the budget so hundreds of bad bills will be vetoed."

The Oasis Movement - Crescent Project

A fantastic conference is coming to Sacramento in October. As you know, Islam is growing quickly in America and many Christians wonder how to respond, how to reach out, how not to hate. This conference, The Oasis Movement, is run by a wonderful group called Crescent Project http://www.crescentproject.org/ . Its goal is to help Christians share Christ with Muslims in our communities; we don’t have to go “to” them in other countries – they are coming to us.

The conference is Oct 23-25th, at the First Covenant Church of Sacramento . Might you be interested to go? For more info email Joni at njb@swissmail.org.
